About the role A fantastic, new opportunity has arisen to become a Women's worker within our Nottinghamshire Change Grow Live substance misuse service.About the role A fantastic, new opportunity has arisen to become a Women's worker within our Nottinghamshire Change Grow Live substance misuse service. Some women may have experienced trauma & have a genuine reason not to be able to work with men, do you have experience in this area You will deliver a bespoke service to complex females with substance misuse issues, including assertive outreach to women who are homeless, and women living in refuges, with a view to enabling them to access services and improve their life opportunities. You will need to have experience of managing caseloads of people and know how to manage risk and minimise harm. You will also need knowledge of substance misuse and related issues, through a previous professional role, academic study or from personal recovery experience. Essential Criteria An understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.Gender specific working and associated risks and challengesPeople experiencing multiple disadvantages ie: Homelessness, Mental health, Domestic Abuse.Experience in managing caseloads of people within a CQC registered service Candidates are to have experience in at least one of the following sectors Substance misuse servicesRehabilitation servicesSupport worker within elderly care or with adults with a learning disabilityPrison serviceChildren’s services, supporting young peopleHospitals and other medical practicesSafeguarding Please ensure that when completing your application form and supporting statement, you reflect on the details outlined in the job description.
