Job Title: Structural Engineer Location: Manchester (North West) Industry: Theatre and Music Venues in the Event Industry Salary: ( up to) £40,000 About the Role: MJ Consulting Engineers (MJC) has an opening for a Structural Engineer at our Manchester office. MJC is a specialist structural engineering firm known for its dedication and excellence in serving the events industry for over 25 years. As a critical part of our team, you will be working primarily on theatre buildings, show productions, and outdoor events, as well as on the preservation and enhancement of Grade I and Grade II listed buildings.With project costs up to £12m and the use of the latest design software, the role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in impactful, high-value projects. A competitive salary of up to £40k will be offered, commensurate with the importance of this role within our company.MJC is part of the Structural Engineering Alliance Group (SEAG), a collective of esteemed engineering firms, each distinguished in its respective field, united by a shared vision of pioneering progress. Responsibilities: Use the latest design software to create and manage structural designs. Liaise with key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with team members and stakeholders. Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members, programming deliverables, and monitoring progress. Prepare calculations, drawings, details, specifications and reports for a wide range of structures and materials Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Masters degree preferred). Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
