Packaging Engineer Lichfield A Packaging Engineer is required to join an engineering team who are working on the design and development of light helicopters for the global market. The company design, develop and manufacture their products in the UK. With extensive financial backing and a growing order book they are seeking to grow their engineering team and require a Packaging Engineer to join their team. The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for the creation of world class flight vehicle layouts in accordance with the dimensional, attribute and cost parameters defined for each programme. The Packaging Engineer will also be responsible for driving the development of the vehicle package for a specified programme to ensure it is delivered on time, and to the required quality level. As Packaging Engineer : you will be required to * Responsible for leading the definition and delivery of flight vehicle programmes in line with requirements* Report on package deliverables and key technical issues in meetings to drive progress* Applying highly advanced CAD expertise in the definition of package layouts* Lead the definition of the package layout utilizing CAD and knowledge of ergonomics* Creation of concept proposals and package layouts, using proven knowledge and expertise* Lead and run regular formal package / design reviews and ad:hoc meetings as required As Packaging Engineer : you will have * Degree qualified or equivalent with relevant experience in vehicle packaging using CAD* Expertise in Advanced CAD tools and techniques such as: Parametric, Associative and Kinematic modelling* Detailed knowledge in package concept design and integration* A firm understanding of vehicle systems and the interactions* Knowledge of vehicle set up and conceptualisation including use of ergonomics* Capability of managing complex projects and providing leadership to the vehicle packaging area of a project What you will get as Packaging Engineer * A competitive salary and benefits whilst working on highly:rewarding projects in a supportive team environment* On:going training and development Suitably qualified and experienced Packaging Engineers should apply today by contacting Jeff Lane at Jonathan Lee Recruitment +44(0)1384 or by emailing their CV and covering letter to order for your CV to be processed effectively, please ensure your name, email address, phone number and location (post code OR town OR county, as a minimum) are included
