Benefit Assessment Officer Waltham Forest Temporary Full TimeWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Benefit Assessment Officer to join a team based in Waltham Forest on a full time temporary ongoing basis.Benefit Assessment Officer Waltham Forest Temporary Full TimeWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Benefit Assessment Officer to join a team based in Waltham Forest on a full time temporary ongoing basis. The Benefit Assessment Officer will be responsible for conducting adult financial assessments, determining individuals' contributions towards their care, and providing advice on entitlements to benefits, as well as dealing with customer’s enquiries, and delivering excellent customer care. Requirements Previous experience working in a similar roleKnowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures surrounding Housing Benefit and Council Tax BenefitExperience in conducting adult social care financial assessmentsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and accessible mannerGood organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlinesExperience providing an effective service to members of the publicExperience working alongside vulnerable customersExperience in using Mosaic system is preferable Role Expectations Advise customers, promote the use of available and relevant Benefits, and promote applicationConduct adult social care financial assessmentsGather financial details and expenditureProvide advice on entitlements to benefitsManage inquiries via phone and in writingLiaise with external partners, including local authorities and support agencies, and ensure effective service is deliveredDevelop working relationships with colleagues, as well as key partnersMaintain Records: Accurately record all interactions, assessments, and decisions in line with relevant policies and procedures, ensuring confidentiality and data protection guidelines are strictly followed If you are interested in this position and meet the above criteria, please send your CV now for consideration.
