Because of continued demand of their services, this employer is actively recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.Working in the Service Department, the successful Mechanical Technician will work within a skilled team and be responsible for servicing, repairing and overhauling industrial gearboxes to an OEM condition.Based in Aldermaston, the successful Mechanical Technician will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Reading, Theale, Tadley, Newbury, Hermitage and Basingstoke. The Mechanical Technician will: NOT ESSENTIAL: Possess formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering or similar Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HNC, HND or equivalentHave stable work history with experience working as a Mechanical Technician, Fitter, Assembler or similar within a fast-paced manufacturing environmentIdeally have experience working with some form of rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps, valves, compressors, turbines, fans or similar Working Hours of the Mechanical Technician: Regular day shift working 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday – 08:00 to 17:00Friday – 08:00 to 15:45 In return, the Mechanical Technician will receive: Base Salary: Up to £32,000.00Guaranteed bonus up to £2,600 paid in DecemberGenerous Pension Scheme: 25 Final Salary Employer Contribution: 17 / Employee Contribution: 8Holiday Allowance: 34 Days including public holidays rising with continued serviceOngoing training & skill development To apply for this position, please click “Apply Now” and attach a copy of your CV.
