Over the years, we have successfully delivered numerous projects across Ireland, the UK, Central Europe, and the USA for our clients in the municipal and industrial sectors.We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement BuyerReporting to the Group Procurement Manager you will be responsible for the procurement of materials/services for construction projects, fixed offices & all associated activities ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental & CSR requirements.You will maintain an ethical and consistent approach to procurement in line with our Quality and Commercial Procedures and work closely with all other departments-Estimating, Tendering, Finance, HSQE and IT.Your mission Prioritise the workload across framework contracts to deliver best supply chain solutions at competitive pricing so as to deliver savings to the project in fiscal and time terms.Implementing Glanua’s Group Procurement strategy within the UK business. Including alignment of any “global” supply contracts where applicable.Understanding and utilising Frame Contracts made by our clients and implementing them effectively in Glanua’s projects. Reporting any variation to contracts Manager for application for claims.Scheduling tendering events to deliver sites procurement scheduleCollating & assessing quotations received ensuring compliance with specifications.Negotiating pricing, payment terms & conditions in line with project budgets.Build, manage & updating a Supplier Database of suitably vetted Sub contractors for possible contracts within projects in UK.Ensuring sub contractors are vetted for HSQE guidelines and hold relevant Insurance Coverage for their contracted tasksSourcing new suppliers and sub contractors for the future growth of Glanua UKProviding SRM and Sub contractor assessment to suitable KPIsOffering site staff alternative materials as appropriateKeep abreast of developments in local and International markets inc benchmarking with other Glanua entitiesVisit supplier facilities and conduct vendor appraisalsAssisting Q. S’s with Subcontract procurement as and when requiredChampion the adherence to P2P process and ensure knowledge, training and best use of SAP P2P is adopted in UK. Who are we looking for? 3rd Level qualification in Procurement / Supply Chain Management or equivalent desirable.Solid knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes and ERP systems. Knowledge of SAP PUR module desirable.5+ years previous experience as Procurement Buyer or related role within the UK Construction Industry Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills & the ability to multitask, work to deadlines & work under pressure.Accurate and precise attention to detail.Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent negotiation skills.Required to travel to Sites throughout UKHybrid working model available with emphasis of working from construction sites as projects and workload necessitates.
