We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bristol to assist with the appointment of a Cleansing Operative , on a 2-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £11.18 per hour PAYE Summary: Under the day to day supervision of a Streetcare Supervisor, the post holder is responsible for carrying out cleaning at the councils Page Park facilities, either individually or as part of a team, following Streetcares prepared schedules and to agreed quality standards. Responsibilities: Work safely with a range of basic equipment in order to complete tasks Carry out routine daily tasks as directed. When required communicate with customers and colleagues in a polite and friendly manner ensuring that information is given. When required check stock to ensure that materials which are necessary to do the job are available. To be aware of and to follow safe methods of working including relevant Health and Safety procedures. Check tools and equipment are suitable for use, reporting any defects or problems as appropriate. Qualifications: Able to demonstrate the Councils values and behaviours. You may hold a vocational qualification e.g. NVQ1 or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience. Ideally you may have some experience of working in a similar role. You will be able and willing to undertake basic training in order to fulfil your daily tasks. You will have some practical skills in order to fulfil your daily tasks. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to learn to use basic tools and equipment. You will be able and willing to follow basic processes and procedures ensuring the job is carried out safely. Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
