Sports Trading Manager (Hybrid/London) Job DescriptionOur Sports Trading Manager is responsible for the performance of a team of sports traders; and executing and delivering all aspects of trading in line with the Company Trading Strategy.This is a great time to be joining Metric. All our products are built using proprietary technology with innovation at their core, focussing on the need for our customers to have new and engaging products and services.Your Day-to-DayWe work closely together - we support each other but expect to be challenged daily, too. Every day you will work with other Trading Managers, Trading Analytics and Trading Strategy to continually improve trading performance. You will also collaborate with other areas of the business including our Product Owners and Developers.Within this role, you will manage the day-to-day line management and personal development of the Sports Traders within the Trading Team. It’s key that you ensure a high level of efficacy of our performance in our managed trading services (excluding Soccer & Horse Racing). You will develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and customers. You will Demo Golf/Sportsbook product. You will work with our product team to triage and prioritise bugs and improvements raised by trading while working with our QA engineers to test new and/or improved functionality. We expect you to take accountability for your area and drive continuous improvement as we evolve. Within your day-to-day, it's key you share your knowledge, while also being curious in your approach to gaining knowledge from others.Within your role, meaningful conversations with colleagues of all levels are essential. Who are we looking for?We are looking for someone with significant experience of working in a trading environment, preferably with previous experience in line management or looking to move into a management role.Ideally, you will have a proven track record of sports trading across a wide range of live sporting events, while owning risk management/customer profiling. You will have previously embedded and optimised team processes, while also developing trading tools. We would like you to have experience of working with feed providers while understanding the latest industry innovations and trends.
