Senior Associate - Cyber Security (Edi Or Glas)

You will have the chance to collaborate closely with some of the industry's finest and a potfolio of prestigious organisations on topical security issues. This is a great oportunity to develop deep ability, working across a variety of engagements with the support and training you would expect from a global Big four firm, This is 1 of the largest cyber security specialist consulting practices in the UK, and you will benefit from shared national and global ability, whilst focussing on working on engagements in Scotland across a range of clients within Financial Services, Consumer Goods and Services, Energy, Oil/Gas or Mining, Utilities and national capital infrastructure, Digital, media and technology and Pharman and life sciences. A Senior Associate in the Cyber Security practice provides technical advice, guidance and support on cyber security, both in business-as-usual and for live and planned projects - you'll have a broad background ideally with specialities in specific areas which can be developed and honed as your career develops. Typically work could include helping:: • Providing input to a security strategy and/or target operating model for an details security function • Conducting a security threat, risk, capability and/or maturity assessment • Designinxg technical solutions to address specific security challenges • Providing security subject matter ability within a wider strategic client engagement You can also expect to perform the following business development activities: • Developing toolkits, methodologies and accelerators to enhance our sales and delivery capability • Contributing to research and thought leadership to improve the eminence of our practice • Collaborating with 3rd party vendors to develop new and innovative security services for our clients Background we'd like to see includes 1 or a combination from the following: • details security background in any form (i.e. operational, consultancy and/or sales) • Strong academic background such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any subject • A good understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals such as networks, operating systems and databases • Knowledge of infrastructure and application security qualifications and benchmarks (e.g. OWASP, CIS) • Background or understanding of security legislation and regulatory frameworks (e.g. DPA, PCI-DSS, RIPA, PSD) • Background or understanding of security methodologies and industry standards (e.g. ISO27001, NIST, SANS) • Any cyber/info security certification (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC) • Background of internal or external consulting or audit engagements • Exposure to multi-tier, web based and cloud based IT architectures • Knowledge of security technologies (e.g. AV, SIEM, IDM, IPS, F/W, SSO, DLP) • Knowledge of security assessment frameworks (e.g. threat modelling, controls assessment, risk assessment) Adam Appointments is the only Scottish agency specialising exclusively in Corporate Governance recruitment.
