You will report to the VP of Digital Marketing to craft our SEO program and envision a One Search approach in partnership with your PPC colleagues. About the Role Our Digital Marketing team is growing, and we'd love to add another dedicated, hard-working, reliable, and fun workmate to our team! You will lead our global Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy across North America, EMEA and APJ. A catalyst to the growth of Workday's digital marketing efforts is supporting organic growth goals with a proven understanding of all aspects of SEO from an on-page, off-page, and technical standpoint and seeing opportunities to work across channels to provide the most value. Bring to bear your skills in quality assurance, results assessment and metrics evaluation to turn numbers into a narrative to identify data based implications that help define the next strategic action.Key Responsibilities Include:Lead the global SEO team, and strategy, ensuring its implementation aligns with an agreed roadmap.Manage external SEO vendor/agency for peak performance, conducting business reviews, quality checks and directing statements of work to augment and optimize Workday's global SEO efforts.Work closely with Content, Web Production and Localisation teams to ensure content is SEO optimized across priority markets. Identify gaps in current content processes and recommend changes as required.Plan and implement large-scale timelines, requirements, and goals. Improve organic growth, while working closely with digital, content marketing, paid search, solution marketing, integrated marketing, and writing counterparts.People leadership, managing a global team of 3+. Identify skill gaps and work with Digital leaders to create and fill needed positions with suitable candidates. Ensure a smooth and effective onboarding of new employees and embrace performance management function within the SEO team.Delegate, direct and review onsite and offsite optimization, keyword expansion research and execution, and technical improvements.Collaborate with Digital Marketing Managers and Content Marketing Managers on webpage/blog optimizations and conversion rate improvements.Conduct relevant SEO research and take a data-driven approach in the creation of audience profiles to inform SEO strategies. Prepares and leads content pitches and other SEO strategy proposals delivered to key partners.Partner with North America, APJ and EMEA Digital Marketing team to align on SEO governance standards and a global operational approach. Contribute to process improvement.Work with paid search and social media teams to optimize campaigns.Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO and digital marketing trends and best practices. Be a SEO evangelist within the company by helping internal teams understand how SEO can help drive conversions through organic growth.Analyze performance and benchmark against competitors and prepare and present performance reports to internal stakeholders. About You Basic Qualifications:10 + years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree with 5 years experience leading a team of 5 or more members.Expert across SEO subject matter inclusive of keyword research, content optimization, link acquisition, and technical optimization. Understanding of technical SEO (meta, core web vitals, schema, robots.txt, and XML sitemaps).Experience with SEO tools such as BrightEdge, Search Console, Oncrawl, or any other enterprise SEO platform.Experience with multi-lingual and multi-regional sites, using best practices for international SEO methodologies.Experience with web analytics tools like Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics, as well as productivity tools (MS Word/Excel/PPT and/or Google docs/sheets/slide), and experience with content management systems such as Adobe AEMAbility to encourage and motivate a cross-functional team into working towards a unified vision and objective.Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, excellent problem solving skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Highly organized, ability to prioritize and handle multiple simultaneous tasks, and demonstrate calmness and composure in stressful or uncertain situations.Experience with Paid SearchOther Qualifications:Global experience and collaborative approach.Experience with project management software, Workfront experience a plus.Self-starter, highly motivated, able to "turn on a dime", think through problems and come up with innovative solutions, and deliver against deadlines.Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to tackle problems, lead, influence, create visibility, and empower both business and technical colleagues.Enterprise software and/or B2B experience is highly desirable.
