Fort William, Highland
In partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Quarriers are developing a Ventilation Support Service for children and young people in the NHS Highland area. The service will work alongside a small number of families in remote and rural areas through discrete teams who will be trained to provide ventilation support on a rota basis to children within their own homes. We currently have vacancies for three part-time Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Support Worker). In this challenging, but rewarding post, you will be part of a close team who provide overnight ventilation/suction support to a small child in Fort William or Oban. Working on your own within the family home, you will work night shifts, including weekends, and be flexible to cover colleagues holidays or illness when required. Ideal applicants will have background of working with disabled children or adults; have a positive attitude towards all children and young people and have a genuine empathy for parents who need support to care for their child at home.
