The postholder should be energetic in approach and not be phased by challenging situations.The Head of Business Development RoleYou will be hands on in terms of business development, with an expectation to roll up your sleeves and get stuck-in! Not simply a leader, you will be key part of the business development team “doing the do” on a daily basis.Our Business Development team is evolving and we are looking to appoint someone who can nurture their talents at the same time as growing our business.With a focus on developing ideas and new opportunities in relation to the changing face of Primary Care, the post-holder will lead our evolving Business Development team that works across both FCMS (NW) Ltd and PDS Medical Ltd.The role will work with Directors, Business Development team, operational staff and other stakeholders to identify, create and develop opportunities to further grow and enhance our portfolio of services.You will play a key role in ensuring that our existing services are future proofed and opportunities for innovation and delivering Primary Care at scale are explored and delivered. You will be required to both lead on and contribute to tender processes for new services, working with individual business units and other organisational support functions to create innovative and cost effective service offers.Qualifications of the Head of Business Development RoleExperience of structured writing, preferably in a healthcare settingExperience of business or service development processes, with clear examples of having worked on service development, bidding or tendering processes.Background of working with Senior Management TeamsMust be educated to A-LevelEvidence of Professional DevelopmentAbility to work with others to develop ideas and solutionsLeadership with strong negotiation and influencing skills.Able to communicate ideas, data and proposals with the expertise to influence a range of audiences, including in writingExcellent verbal and writing skills, including presentation skillsAbility to manage and prioritise a complex portfolio of work, making significant progress across a number of fronts over short periods of timeA passion to work together with people every dayStrong IT skills and background of using multiple packagesAbility to work at both a strategic and operational levelAbility to deal with fast moving situationsAbility to cope with pressure of a varied workloadCalmness under pressure & when supporting sometimes unhappy situationsResilienceEmotional self-awarenessAuthenticApproachability that presents a fun, lively and warm characterSelf-motivationDesire to succeedAmbitionIf you feel you are suitable for our Head of Business Development positon, please apply now.
