JOB: Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION: West Sussex TERM: Permanent SALARY: GBP 25,000 : GBP 30,000 per annum (plus benefits) My client designs and manufactures a range of products and they are looking to take on a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the West Sussex area. The Graduate Mechanical Design Engineerwill ideally have the following attributes: : Degree BSc / BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar (HNC/ HND / NVQ may also be considered) : Proficiency with 3D CAD software: ideally Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD / iLogic but other programmes might also be considered : 0:2 years or more industry experience : Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations : Any previous experience of working with steel / metal materials would be desirable : Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team : Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) : Be keen to develop with a company long term : Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office The Graduate Mechanical Designer Engineer role will involve: : Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers : Seeing through design projects from concept through to completion : Producing 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD : Generating the BOM's to go with the associated designs : Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
