Governance Assistant Salary: From £23,000 per annum Job category: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 35 hours per week Location: West Didsbury, Manchester Benefits: Include competitive pension, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays increasing with service, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, season ticket loans for public transport plus much more Closing date for applications: 19th January, 2018 About the role: Reporting to the Head of Governance, the role will require you to provide a high-quality support service to the Boards and Committees of Great Places, the Head of Governance and the Head of Business Assurance. The role will include agenda management, general oversight of the key Governance documentation, providing assistance to ensure compliance with Data Protection legislation, and monitoring adherence with Internal Audit recommendations. About You: The successful candidate will have a qualification in Business Administration or similar and will have demonstrated skill in administrative and organisational work. You will have background working with Boards of management, Directors or similar. You will also have excellent people skills, both written and verbal. Additionally, you will have excellent personal and office organisation skills in order prioritise own workload without close supervision and able to meet deadlines within fixed time scales and under pressure. Excellent skills in Microsoft office products - especially Microsoft word and Ms excel are essential. You will also have background of event management and of minute taking. A current understanding of data protection legislation is also required. About our company: Great Places Housing Group is not your average housing association.
