Working closely with clients, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements and prepare detailed estimates / tender submissions.If successful to then manage costs and budgets for construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.Estimator/QS Permanent Role LondonAbout the role Working closely with clients, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements and prepare detailed estimates / tender submissions. If successful to then manage costs and budgets for construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.Key Responsibilities Review project specifications, drawings and contract documents to understand project scope and requirements.Conduct site visits to gather data and assess the condition of the site.Identify and quantify materials, equipment, labour and other resources needed for the project.Analyze project data to prepare accurate cost estimates and ensure profitability.Prepare and submit tenders and quotes.Monitor cost estimates and budgets for multiple construction projects.Managing and maintaining records of all project costs, including materials, labour, and equipment.Preparing cost reports internally.Preparing and overseeing submission of Client applications / valuations.Reviewing and negotiating contracts with sub-contractors and suppliers.Measuring and valuing variations to the original project scope.Managing the payment process for sub-contractors and suppliers.Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. Requirements Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.At least 2+ years of experience in the construction industry.Excellent numerical and analytical skills.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Proficient in the use of computerized cost management systems.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of relevant building and construction regulations.
