JOB : Production Engineer LOCATION : Walsall TERM: Permanent SALARY : GBP 30,000 : GBP 40,000 per annum (dependent on experience) We are looking for a Production Engineer on a permanent basis in the Walsallarea with experience in the assembly, electro:mechanical, electronics or similar Manufacturing Industry. We are also considering more junior options or Graduate Manufacturing Engineers. The Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: : Qualified in a relevant Engineering / Manufacturing Degree with time served as an Engineer. : Previous experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment. : Understanding of assembly, electronics or electromechanical manufacturing processes. : Exposure to NPI or tooling / jigs and fixtures. : Have the ability to communicate with other members of staff and management. : Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written : Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment would be beneficial but not essential : Excellent organizational and planning skills. : Ability to work independently as well as team : Experience of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma would be advantageous. The Manufacturing Engineer role will involve: : Oversee and lead process improvement and continuous improvement projects within manufacturing. : Managing day to day planning to ensure correct BOM's, Tooling and Routing's are in place. : Liaising with the management team to advise where manufacturing processes can improve efficiency, reduce waste costs and contribute culture of continuous improvement. : Carrying out new process implementations. : Helping to advise on factory layouts and new product introductions.
