Roles, Responsibilities and Daily Tasks: Azure Development: Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and services utilizing Azure services like Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Logic Apps. Integration: Integrate Azure services seamlessly with on-premises systems and third-party services through Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management, and Azure Service Bus. DevOps Practices: Advocate for and implement DevOps best practices by automating deployment pipelines via Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools. Employ infrastructure as code (IaC) principles using Azure Resource Manager templates. Security and Compliance: Ensure robust security measures and compliance with industry standards and data protection regulations within Azure solutions. Conduct thorough security assessments and audits. Monitoring and Optimization: Establish Azure Monitor and Application Insights to proactively monitor application performance and swiftly address issues. Continuously optimize resources for cost efficiency. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation covering architecture, designs, and deployment procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer and future support. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, and infrastructure specialists, to deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions. Trends and Innovation: Keep abreast of the latest Azure offerings and industry trends. Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance projects built on Azure. Essential Technical Skills: Azure Proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying applications on the Microsoft Azure platform. Strong understanding of Azure services such as: Azure Functions Azure App Service Azure SQL Database Azure Logic Apps. Experience with integrating Azure services with on-premises systems and third-party services. DevOps Familiarity with DevOps practices, including: CI/CD pipelines infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Azure DevOps. Knowledge of security measures and compliance standards within Azure solutions, including conducting security assessments and audits. Ability to set up and utilize Azure Monitor and Application Insights for application performance monitoring and optimization. Excellent documentation skills for maintaining architecture, designs, and deployment processes. Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to stay updated with Azure's latest offerings and industry trends, with a focus on implementing innovative solutions. Desired Experience and Skills: Certification in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect). Experience with other cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automation tasks. Previous experience in a client-facing role, providing technical guidance and support. Understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile environments.
