Competitive salary Flexible workingThis Flood Risk Engineer role is up for grabs Our client is on the hunt for a Flood Risk Engineer to join their Edinburgh office.This is an exciting role that allows the candidate to grow and develop within this consultancy. There are lots of opportunities for progression and training development schemes to encourage you to fulfil the role.What’s on offer: Provide a collaborative and flexible environment that supports individual performance, innovation, and creativity.Competitive salaryFlexible workingHealth and Wellness benefits for employees and their familiesEmployee stock purchase programRetirement plan What you need to succeed: A UK accredited degree either BSc, BEng or MEng in a relevant subject.Chartered status with the ICE or CIWEM would be preferred or working towards.Experience in the delivery and leading flood risk and/or surface water separation projects from solution development, optioneering and design in line with the relevant guidance.Experience in working of leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects efficiently and effectively, such as with hydraulic modellers, engineers, and environmental consultants.Experience or an interest in developing Natural Flood Management solutions.A good knowledge of the Multi-coloured Manual for flood risk economic appraisal.An understanding and experience in working with the NPPF.Experience in IT systems such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civils 3D and the Microsoft Office suite.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with clients, contractors, other consultants at all levels and statutory authorities.Suitability for UK security clearance.
