Homelessness Prevention Coordinator Westminster, London Temporary – 3 month contract Possibility for Extension Full-Time, 36 hours Per Week - Hybrid availableAre you an experienced manager seeking a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in homelessness prevention As a Homeless Prevention Coordinator, you will work closely with the Housing Needs team to facilitate the transition of clients from TA to more sustainable housing options.Homelessness Prevention Coordinator Westminster, London Temporary – 3 month contract Possibility for Extension Full-Time, 36 hours Per Week - Hybrid availableAre you an experienced manager seeking a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in homelessness prevention As a Homeless Prevention Coordinator, you will work closely with the Housing Needs team to facilitate the transition of clients from TA to more sustainable housing options. Your role will involve conducting client visits, developing relocation plans, and providing compassionate support to individuals and families in need.Responsibilities: Provide support within the Housing Solutions Service to assist families and individuals in moving from nightly booked TA to suitable, long-term accommodation.Conduct client visits to assess current situations and collaboratively develop relocation plans.Demonstrate exceptional customer care through compassionate and empathetic interactions with clients.Offer advice and assistance on homelessness prevention and facilitate access to professional and medical support as needed.Ensure a mindful approach to prioritise customer experience throughout all interactions and tasks.Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve targeted objectives.Utilise comprehensive knowledge of homelessness law and regulations, including: Housing Act 1996, Part VII: Housing duty investigations, decisions, and duties owed to applicants.TA suitability and S202 reviews. Management of non-priority need decisions and communication regarding accommodation status. Legal procedures for evictions, including Section 21 notices, Section 8 notices, and Possession Orders.Provide support to individuals experiencing financial crisis, including referrals and advice on accessing relevant services and benefits.Address immigration issues and assist clients with No Recourse to Public Funds.Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure coordinated support for clients.Adhere to relevant legislation and best practices in service delivery.Contribute to ongoing improvements in service delivery by providing recommendations to the service manager. Experience and skills:• Proficient in homelessness law and provision, with experience in similar roles. • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide empathetic support to clients. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Flexibility to adapt to challenging situations and changing priorities. • Commitment to equality, diversity, and non-discriminatory practices. • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.If you are interested in this position and meet the above criteria, please send your CV now for consideration.
