Title: Occupational Therapist Location: Greater Manchester Salary : A GBP 28,000 : 38,000 (depending on experience) Hours: 37.5 Merco Medical have partnered with a one of the UKs leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services in their search for top talent. We have an exciting new opportunity for a permanent Occupational Therapist based in the Manchester Area.Position Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our multi:disciplinary team working across our adult inpatient services. The Occupational Therapist will work with client groups both one to one and in a group setting and should have a minimum of one years experience. You will provide assistance to professional and clinical staff with the planning, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic activities in order to improve mental, emotional well:being and quality of life for our patients. Suitable applicants should have a minimum of one years experience gained within a related clinical or therapeutic environment. It is desirable that the post:holder will have experience managing a caseload of service users with complex needs. * Providing assistance and consultation to the lead consultant regarding the therapeutic programmes on the unit* Engage with patients in helpful, therapeutic and meaningful activities.* Co:ordinate and manage individual treatment plans for occupational therapy and activities* Provide 1:1 OT assessment and treatment* Develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues ensuring clinical practice is in line policy and procedure at all times, complying with statutory regulations and quality standards.* Providing high level communication skills and possessing exceptional organisational skills.
