AWS Devops Engineer

Job Description DevOps Engineer - various Who are we looking for? A DevOps Engineer with expertise in building CI/CD Pipelines, involving TDD, BDD etc. and programming skills using Terraform, Python or other high-level language. Technical Skills: • 5+ years of technical experience in development, operations, or joint DevOps responsibilities. • Expertise in providing continuous delivery solutions employing AWS. • Expertise in build, deployment, and release management. • Embody the core values of sharing, increasing software delivery speed, continuous improvement, and self-service. • In-depth familiarity with complete suite of AWS Services, with particular depth in those that are heavily used when providing DevOps Automation solutions, including tools like CloudFormation, Code* Services, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, EC2, IAM, Route53, S3, RDS, SES and VPC. • Solid background in Software Development including object-oriented programming and test-driven development. • Experience establishing and employing Continuous Integration practices and execution platforms such as Code Build or Jenkins. • Frequent and comfortable use of configuration management automation tools such as Chef (or other such tools) in creating continuous delivery systems. • Assess risks and plan solutions for the entire team, and collaboratively work with other members to execute them to achieve successful continuous delivery solutions for customers. • Continually assess successful and not so successful practices, and to collaboratively adapt team practices to improve the value we bring to our customers. • Proactively monitor systems using enterprise/platform adapted monitoring tools, and respond to incidents • Ensure any production deployable code has all the necessary Alerts, necessary logging needed to debugging and work with operations to update runbook • Work with multiple teams to identify areas of improvement within the platform and build a solution to automate monitoring solutions for the next-generation platform, technology and constant innovations to drive efficiencies • Implement tracing, monitoring, tooling solutions to maximize the performance and availability of the applications. Process Skills: • Well versed with Agile-Scrum • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to provide detailed root cause analysis, resolution options, and long-term improvements to avoid issues in the future Behavioral Skills: • Excellent oral and written communications • Self-motivated and thorough with multitasking skills • Strong debugging skills across a variety of integrated platforms Certification : - EC2, IAM, Route53, S3, RDS, SES and VPC, DevOps & AWS
