Initial 6:month contract with scope for long:term opportunity: Join an established team of contractors and permanent employees working as a team to push the boundaries of excellence throughout 2024. Position Overview: Prototype Build Technician As a Prototype Build Technician with an Electric Vehicle (EV) bias, you will play a pivotal role in the whole vehicle build process. Your responsibilities will include component assembly, sub:assembly, and the creation of entire vehicles from the ground up within a bay:build environment. Using your Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim skills, youll contribute to the development of future automotive models. Key Responsibilities as a Prototype Build Technician: * Whole vehicle preparation, assembly, and build, with a primary focus on Mechanical build, Trim and Final Assembly.* Mechanical and Electrical assembly tasks, including building components and sub:assemblies from scratch.* Creating and assembling entire vehicles within a bay:build discipline, covering Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim aspects.* Fitting part/full interior Trim packages with precision and attention to detail.* Utilising your extensive knowledge of EVs and Hybrid vehicles to contribute to the prototype process.* Reading and interpreting engineer drawings to ensure accurate assembly.* Diagnosing and supporting the logging of build issues, contributing to engineering improvements. Working Hours: Day Shift: Monday : Thursday: 8.00am : 16.45pm, Friday 8.00am : 2.30pm (39 hours per week) Contract type : Inside IR35 : Initial 6:month contract. PAY: A GBP 23.08 : uplifted pay rate to be paid via Umbrella PAYE Please Note: The pay rate stated above has been uplifted to include, hourly pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitments contribution to the payroll administrators fee.
