They are dedicated to promoting and improving their life chances, safety, accommodation needs, education and employment, finance and independence skills.About the RoleThe Personal Advisor will be responsible for providing high quality and effective social care support to young people and young adults. The successful candidate will have a natural ability to develop trusting and supportive relationships with young people between the ages of 16-25 years who are living in or leaving care. As a Personal Advisor, you will manage and monitor a workload of cases as directed, and ensure that statutory and service responsibilities are undertaken within timescales.Key Responsibilities Provide high quality and effective social care support to young people and young adultsDevelop trusting and supportive relationships with young people between the ages of 16-25 years who are living in or leaving careManage and monitor a workload of cases as directedEnsure that statutory and service responsibilities are undertaken within timescalesIdentify the needs of young people, families and carersImplement service plans on the basis of assessed needs Requirements Experience of direct work with young people, families and carersKnowledge of applicable legislation including the Children Act 1989, The Children Leaving Care Act 2000 and have a sound understanding of child and adolescent development and the particular difficulties and disadvantages associated with transition to adulthood for children in careA flexible approach to working hoursWillingness to travel around the county and to other parts of the country when required How to ApplyIf you are interested in this Personal Advisor role, please apply now with your CV
