The Role – Sales Data Technician Apprentice As a Sales Data Technician Apprentice , you will be working as part of the Luxfer MEL Technologies commercial team in either the Magnesium Alloys or Zirconium Chemicals arena. You will learn all aspects of the Sales process whilst conducting research into target markets / applications / programmes and customers in preparation for Growth activities. In addition, you will provide data analyst support by helping generate forecasts, monthly scorecard reporting and reviewing import and export activity. Initially you will complete a Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship to develop your analytical and reporting skills. After successful completion you will progress to a suitable business-related Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA or similar) Main responsibilities: Your duties will include but not limited to: To conduct research into and provide summary reports on specified markets, technologies & customers, utilising a range of data sources, e.g. internet, customer questionnaires & trade publications, in support of the Commercial team’s objectives. To provide a sales analysis service to the Commercial team. Utilising data from our enterprise systems to provide regular monthly reports and satisfy ad-hoc requests. Data may be required in tabular, chart or other presentation formats. To pro-actively monitor sales data identifying trends, patterns & anomalies. To support the monthly forecasting process by analysing & assessing forecast data and identifying potential issues Generating Power Bi reports Customer interaction after initial period of training Other ad-hoc Commercial support duties, as required. What you’ll need to be considered for the Sales Data Technician Apprentice role: GCSE Mathematics and English Language (grade A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Hard working and self-motivated, with a keen interest to learn and develop Superb time management and prioritisation skills Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment whilst meeting tight deadlines Professional interpersonal skills, and a team player with a committed, flexible and positive approach to work Why work for us?
