As Criminal Justice Housing Adviser you will work with probation and the AFEO coordinator (Accommodation for Ex:Offender scheme) to ensure that those leaving custody have access to housing advice and support upon release. You will manage your own case load of ex:offenders and other homeless applicants to assess their housing needs. You will offer housing advice to prevent homelessness and support clients to access a broad range of housing options. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, highly motivated with excellent communication skills and have sufficient experience of working with residents to provide housing advice and housing solutions, preventing homelessness, and assessing homelessness applications under part 7 of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended).
