We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Joiner in either East or West London to join a repairs and maintenance team working on domestic property refurbs. We have an established department covering all aspects of housing repairs and refurbishment. You will be working with an established housing association to cover the renovation of void properties and bringing them back to standard, ready for new tenants to accommodate.Job: CarpenterPay rate: £19 per hour Van includedHours: 42.5 per weekArea: East / West LondonAbout the JobYou'll be responsible repairs and maintenance in a domestic setting working with an established housing association to cover the renovation of void or filled properties and bringing them back to standard for existing tenants or ready for new tenants to accommodate. Top notch customer service skills, enthusiasm and a 'can-do' attitude will all be essential as you'll be an ambassador for the company as you go from property to property carrying out work to the highest of standards.As a Joiner within this team you will be responsible for not limited to; Cut and shape timber for floorboards, skirting boards and window framesMake and assemble doors, window frames, staircases and fitted furnitureFit wooden structures, like floor and roof joists, roof timbers, staircases, partition walls, and door and window frames first fixingsInstall skirting boards, door surrounds, doors, cupboards and shelving, as well as door handles and locks second fixingsBuild temporary wooden supports to hold concrete in place while it sets, for example building foundations formworkYou will need; NVQ or City and Guilds Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery minimumFull UK Driving LicencePrevious Carpentry experience 4+ yearsSocial housing / residential experience in domestic properties
