As an Engagement Consultant, you will work under the guidance of your operations Manager and your regional team colleagues to manage referrals and support with employment outcomes on our employability/skills contracts. You will ensure that appropriate activity is undertaken with each learner to achieve their goals and aspirations, including enrolment in suitable skills courses and a follow-up of their journey/progression route. This will include eligibility checks, enrolling learners on the programme, working with the Skills & Engagement Team sourcing appropriate vacancies. You will be responsible for outreach and employment advice for your caseload. Responsibilities Meet monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in relation to learners enrolling on courses. Establish rapport and build a challenging and supportive relationship with your caseload and across the relevant contracts Manage a caseload of learners to ensure appropriate and effective contractual activity is undertaken by all customers according to their level of job readiness Address learners' personal and contextual constraints to employment, implementing action plans, providing, advice and guidance where appropriate to develop learner capability in the recruitment process so they have the skills and confidence to secure employment. Follow the compliance regulations for the relevant contract(s) you are working on, to ensure that the customer meets all the necessary eligibility criteria and that paperwork is completed in full and accurately. Identify, structure and recommend recruitment and training solutions, to meet the specific needs of customers and employers Provide advice, guidance and support for customers during their initial weeks of employment, supporting them in the transition from welfare to employment Develop relationships and networks with key stakeholders including employers, job centre teams, local authorities, and training providers to ensure the smooth operation of all processes Maintain paperwork and customer records to a required quality standard to ensure the customer journey is documented in accordance with our quality standards and relevant documentation uploaded to the database from claim purposes Assist with all other areas of delivery in your region as and when required Cover additional geographical areas when required to contribute to the delivery of outcomes. Undertake any other reasonable/appropriate duties as needed. Education /Qualification GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in Maths and English IAG Level 2 or above is desirable Skills and Experience Essential Experience in delivering employability support programmes Experienced and confident in delivering against targets and KPIs Understanding the needs of long-term unemployed and recruitment needs Knowledge of the barriers to employment for our demographic of learners, and you can assist them in overcoming barriers and building confidence Good level of literacy and numeracy. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively. Patient, empathetic, and able to adapt communication methods to accommodate individual learners Efficient time management and the ability to plan ahead of time to accommodate new course enrolments Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds. Desirable, but not essential: Delivering outcomes via an AEB-funded contract Understanding of AEB contract requirements and compliance.
