We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hackney to assist with the appointment of an Electrician , on a 6-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £25.90 - £33.07 per hour Summary: To support Hackney Housing in providing throughout the London Borough of Hackney and other locations as directed, a high quality cyclical, planned and reactive repairs and maintenance service to internal and external elements of occupied and unoccupied properties, public buildings and associated external areas. Provide outstanding customer service and excellent standards of performance to the public and residents of Hackney. Responsibilities: Experience and knowledge to carry out electrical installation work to BS7671 Liaise and work with contractors at the engineering/managers request. Ability to work from plans/drawings to install new circuits or make alterations to existing circuits. Assess works, diagnose faults and decide on the best remedy or rectification. Accurately measure, quantify and list materials requirements. Maintain all electrical records. Carry out work flexibly and with minimal disruption to the service users and ensure the premises are left clean and tidy to enhance the reputation of Hackney Homes to deliver excellent services. Experience & Knowledge: Hold a clean full UK Drivers Licence. City and Guilds Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology Installation or relevant experience. City & Guilds 2382 Level 3, 17th Edition Electrical Installation City & Guilds 2391 Level 3 Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
