We are seeking a Smart Grid Engineer to join our growing Integration team based in Glasgow to help us in our mission to transform todays energy systems! The role: Design data interfaces between SGS products and external systems Prepare system requirements, functional specifications and test specifications Integrate control and field instrumentation, measurement devices, test rigs and harnesses Configuration, testing, and commissioning of control applications to assist in connecting more green energy to the grid! System engineering for control and automation projects including software and hardware. Production of project documentation e.g. Manuals, design and test specifications etc. Provide aftersales support for projects including site visits when required Potential travel in the UK and overseas What we are looking for: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Control, Computer Science or similar discipline Experience with automation and control platforms, e.g. PLCs, RTUs, industrial PCs Understand software engineering lifecycle and process for design, development and support Understanding of utility communication architectures, standards and protocols Experience with IT communication networking and an understanding of IT security practices and cyber security risks Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships Strong commercial awareness with a desire to keep up to date with industry changes and trends It would be great if you have….
