Civitanavi UK Ltd will be based in a brand new facility in Bristol, close to major aerospace and defence customers and travel links (hybrid working will be considered). The UK business has already established a strong reputation with major UK primes and is now ready to recruit for a number of key roles. (Civitanavi Systems S.p.A. is a listed company on Euronext Milan, it is controlled by Civitanavi Systems Ltd (holding) which unites an international pool of strategic investors).” Job Summary The role of the Proposal Engineer is an interesting role that will expose the candidate to many aspects of business and engineering. The Proposal Engineer will liaise between Business Development, Engineering and Operations, and, of course, customers, to ensure that the assigned proposals are completed and issued within the deadline. They will plan the associated activities, coordinating the proposal team, and collect all the different information with the aim to prepare a commercial and technical offer suite. This key role also ensures that customer samples and supporting data are delivered on time. Responsibilities and Duties For each new business opportunity, the candidate will perform an analysis of the request and the associated risk in relation to the company strategy and annual planning They will help select resources in order to build the most suitable proposal team The candidate will gather of all required information to manage the BID/No-BID process The candidate will identify the approach that suits the offer request best, considering requests of the customer, the company portfolio, the company capabilities, and the company products strategy in the medium and long term The candidate has the responsibility to quantify the offer with the support of Engineering, Operations and Quality departments, in terms of costs, investments, time, and resources. They will coordinate the preparation of the tender response with the necessary documents, managing technical and commercial aspects and issuing the commercial offer and document suite They will be part of the order booking forecasts release and tracking effort The role requires contact with the proposal BD manager and with the various company functions specifically involved in each proposal Qualification Degree or equivalent in an engineering subject such as Aeronautics and Space Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or similar disciplines Required Skills Project management orientation, with an Objective-Oriented and Decision-making mindset Understanding of system requirements Understanding of design, development, production and support activities Precise and meticulousness in nature Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Pro-active Available for local and international business trips Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite Please Note: Civitanavi UK requires all employees to achieve the appropriate clearance relevant to the role. Preferred Skills Demonstrable experience in a high reliability engineering market sector e.g. Defence and Aerospace markets Proven experience in a Proposal, Program Management or project manager role Understanding of Inertial Navigation Systems Know-how of standards, compliance rules and Export regulations represent a (e.g. MIL and DO Standards, Dual Use regulations, ITAR) Some knowledge of Italian will be useful but not essential Powered by JazzHR
