We provide comprehensive, tailored advice to a wide range of clients and sectors.We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Chartered Building Surveyor to join our rapidly expanding team based in Glasgow City Centre.Role DescriptionThe successful candidate will be expected to support and help drive forward our existing business in the UK and Ireland. Your duties will involve all aspects of building surveying including condition surveys, building pathology, reinstatement cost assessments, schedules of condition and dilapidations. You will also be expected to be proficient in project management and have a good working knowledge of common construction contracts with a proven ability to develop and lead on the contract administration of maintenance, repair and refurbishment contracts.The role offers an opportunity to work within a modern progressive and dynamic multi-disciplinary consultancy as we continue to develop and expand the range of services that we deliver for our valued clients. This is recognised and rewarded accordingly.QualificationsThe candidates we are looking for should have: - A degree in building surveying and qualified to MRICS;Sound technical knowledge in all matters related to building surveying;Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;An ambitious and can-do attitude with a degree of flexibility to accommodate all responsibilities;An attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving;A demonstrable ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team;Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and work on multiple and varied projects;A sound working knowledge of office standard IT packages and CAD;Experience in health and safety procedures and the CDM Regulations;A capability to take direction and possess excellent listening skills;Previous relevant experience;A full, clean UK driving licence.
