The postholder will deliver the strategic financial vision and direction of the authority, significantly impacting a range of services. They will lead the provision of business partnering services and also lead the production of service budget monitoring reports. Main Responsibilities Lead, coordinate and support all the service side activities that produce the Budget Strategy & MTFS, Budget Update and other reports.Ensure the council has a robust financial management system with necessary controls and checks in place.Lead and prepare, as required, accounts in relation to any Council owned companies.Ensure financial aspects of operational and strategic, business and service plans promote and demonstrate best practice, sound financial governance, and deliver value for money.Management of up to 3 direct reports and up to 18 indirect reports. Candidate Criteria CCAB/CIMA Qualified CIPFA Preferred Accountant with extensive PQEExtensive experience within Local Authority Finance is essential including experience of operating at a senior level – Head of Finance/Senior Strategic roleExperience of working in Social Care Finance is highly desiredProactive leader with experience of leading a strategic vision/business partnering functions in a Local AuthorityExcellent management skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels If you are interested in the role, or know of anyone who may be, please contact Greg at Service Care Solutions on 01772 XXXXXX or email XXXX@servicecare.org.ukService Care Solutions also offers a £250 referral bonus So, if you know of anyone who would be perfect for this position and they are placed into work, you will receive £250 for the referral once their probationary period has been completed.
